** NEW ** Disco Stu's
R1 gets a major make-over!!! October, 2008.
Disco Stu's much loved 1999
model R1 ex-stunt bike has been through a lot over the years and has been
seen in a variety of different paint schemes, but none as good as this. Check it out!
Special Message from Disco Stu:
Woo Hoo, I got me a new toy !
With my faithful R1 now officially in retirement mode (and a million
pieces)
and the prospect of a long summer without a bike to ride, I splashed out
and bought a new bike.
Yep, hang the expense and extend the mortgage, I'm now the proud owner
of a brand new Yamaha MT-01. If you've never ridden one of these I suggest you try and find one and
give it a go.
OK, so it's pretty heavy and doesn't put out much in the way of
horsepower, but with around 150nm of torque on tap before the tacho
needle hits 5000rpm, it just makes you smile.
So forgive me this this summer if I spend way too much time with both
wheels on the ground, and a distinct lack of smoke billowing from the
rear of my bike, but I'm going for a nice long comfy ride.
